hiya

I've been lurking around here for a few months or so... just made an account.

I've been dancing ECS at a intermediate/advanced level for almost a year, and about three months ago our instructor started teaching us lindy. Last night, he showed us a taste of Balboa.

And honestly, I think I'm hooked..

Are there any good bal/lindy resources out there, or any good tips for a beginner? I don't think our instructor is good enough at bal to teach it, but I'd still like to learn..

Welcome. Have you tried searching the forums for bal? I remember quite a few discussions in the past about balboa.

Relax, don't stress, be smooth. The best tips I can give you is striving to relax and be smooth when dancing. Try not to tense up or stress. And practise as much as possible, and keep it fun. Fun is more important than correct moves.

I found lindy to be more interesting then ECS. I hope you enjoy it.
