Whats up everyone. I haven't been on the forums for a while but I figure this would be a great place to get some input for somethine we're putting together for next semester. I'm a senior in college and I graduate this May. Every year our school puts up a talent show in the spring semester and every year there is nothing but singing acts. Don't get me wrong, they are extremely talented, but I thought it would be time for a change. This year a group of 4 of my friends are all gonna get together and do the "Thriller" routine. 3 of us already know it and we gotta teach the other two. My question is, I wanna toss some more music and dancing into the mix and need some ideas. I wanna make our show at least 10-15 minutes long and thriller takes about 3-5 minutes at best. Any ideas? I was playing around with "Billie Jean" and making up a dance to that, or maybe "You Rock My World" any input? thanks everyone!

My suggestion to you (First and foremost) is to not create a dance routine 15 minutes long. Personally, I'd say no more then five minutes. I am not sure of your dancing experience but 15 minutes is a VERY long time and you have to hold an audience's attention. I've been dancing for the Phoenix Suns and when we do halftime shows our routines aren't even that long. (Half time is 15 minutes but our routines may last 5-7 minutes tops then enters other entertainment to fulfill the rest of the time slot)

Ultimately, my suggestion is to cut down on your time frame. You can then either choose to do the entire Thriller dance, or perhaps cut some it and mix it with other things.
