I believe this series was made a while ago, but maybe with all the ballroom buzz, it looks like they're re-airing it on FitTV. I found it by accident, when I was searching "ballroom" in the TitanTV directory.

the title is funny. it's almost like the vh-1 /mtv show "The Fabulous Life of...." where they show masturbatory footage of the bling and toys rich celebrities can buy. "The Fabulous Life of..." ballroom dancers version would feature ramen noodles, stoning costumes at 4 AM the night before a comp, and a '92 Honda Accord.

Ahh. We dancers are a classy bunch. Ballgowns, tuxes, and cars left over from the 1980's.

OMG! This is absolutely hilarious!

Now I feel left out. I've only ever driven decent cars. What? Do I have to buy a clunker to prove I'm committed to my art?

So funny!
I've never had my own car as I've always lived in cities where it was too expensive to park - SF and NY. My "Secret Fabulous Life" would show me hailing a cab with my 9 million bags and suitcases heading off to a comp in NJ...

Joisey?!?! Couldn't it be Ohio or Miami or London or someplace groovy? Does it have to be Joisey? *giggle*

If it's "reality TV" the reality is NJ and I'm dancing pro-am (just barely) bronze. (And I'm certainly not knocking NJ - I grew up there). If I could write my own screenply, I'd be waiting for a limo to take me to the airport to catch my chartered flight to London where I'll dance with my partner and husband, Colin Firth...

Maybe I could put it up for a ballroom dance scholarship...

Should I be glad my car is late 90s vintage?

I'm currently up to 193,000 miles and the front bumper keeps trying to fall off, and the windows won't go up if it's cold, but it's still going . . . . and going . .. .

Not that I want my car to die - it's just impressive. :)
