On the ABC message board (where the ambiance is hostile) I read that Stacey used to compete in ballet. Now people are totally bashing her there and saying she should be disqualified.
I think it's rediculous and they should get over it. If that's an argument, you could say that Drew shouldn't be there, because he has a ead lead on feeling the beat of the music. People who are doing pilates should leave then too.
I think it's rediculous. What do you think?

Yes, it is absurd.

At a social, look at how many people tell you that they have been 'dancing all their life' and look absurd.

How did I know you'd have a say on that topic, Mr. Joe?

I do think that Ms. Kiebler has some major advantages over some of the other competitors. Not sure that she should be disqualified because of them, though. Maybe the casting folks should give some thought to creating a more even-handed pool of talent, next time around? *shrig*

I swear someone told me that on Thursday's ET, there was a scandal coverage on Stacy, but I missed it. What's it about? W/ those pix, hee...lots of scandal can happen :)

But anyway, I don't think she should be disqualified. Rachel Hunter had the same amount of ballet training but didn't come off nearly as well as Stacy.

Last night, they did the samba again, I must say Stacy needs to work on her arms - even though I never liked Kelly Monarco's dancing, I thought her arm work was better than Stacy's.

I really don't like ABC's message boards.

I don't think Stacy should be disqualified.

Yeah, I think it's all a matter of degrees. A lot girls took ballet for a few years when they were young. Stacey did more than most. I just wished they'd stop calling a Stacey a "natural" on TV.

On the same note, I'm not sure the show should automatically rule out any star who has done some social ballroom for a year or two. They still wouldn't be a contender without working their butt off!

I think being more careful with the casting the third season would be my approach too. The ABC board is fascinating in a way. There are those who absolutely despise Stacy for whatever reason and want her disqualified using her 15 years of ballet/tap/jazz as the reason. There are those who would defend her dancing if she stopped moving altogether and say that her 15 years of training in no way gives any sort of advantage because ballet has nothing at all to do with ballroom.

Then there are those in the middle who give up and go away and let the extremists bash each other. "It's not fair! All you people care about is her long legs. You should think with the head on top of your shoulders." "Everyone against Stacy is a fat, jealous woman."

Oy.

Maybe, Stacey will come out nude in Playboy the week she's in the finals with Drew. That'll create some real controversy. :)

She (along with all the WWE Divas) has had the opportunity to pose for Playboy before. She declined.

I think that Stacy and Drew have had the effect of "Raising the Bar" for everyone.

To me, the dancing has been so much better this time around, because everyone knows that they have to do a terrific job or go home.

I love all the thinly veiled shots that Stacy is making at P.

We had the week 4, "I think we're all" looks around the room for P, "yeah, everyone in this room is trying really hard."

Then several comments in week 5 about how everyone left "really knows how to dance."

Now some of those hostile people on the ABC message board is saying Drew should be eliminated because his wife is a professional dance choreographer. They always need to nag about something over there.

It's kinda nice to have DF to come "home" to, IMO.

Just as a random note:

My mom was watching a segment on Entertainment Tonight, or some hollywood gossip show like that the other night and called me into the room when an interview with Drew came on. One of the things he was saying is that if he's still on the show when his wife goes into labour, he will withdraw from the competition.

She looked like she was fairly far along. Do we know when she's due?? Gee...I understand completely his position, but it sure would be a bummer if he didn't make it to the end. What were they thinking not planning their baby around the show??!!

*snerk*

I have no idea when she's due, but she looks like she's ready to pop at any time.

Good for him for having his priorities in the right place, but I agree, it would be so disappointing if he had to withdraw early.

That's very good of him. I hope she can hold it in a couple of weeks longer though ;)
