And I loved the guy who sang. What was his name again? Had no clue who he was, never heard about him. That doesn't mean anything, since I hardly ever listen to the radio and more in my "Latin music world".

Can't believe I missed Alec. It was painful to hear the play by play Michelle was giving me on the phone....something about him doing a split backwards between her legs??!! Ugh!!!!!
I didn't tape the entire show but I did tape Alec and Edyta's number. Will you have a VCR where you're staying when you're in NJ next weekend?
Yeah, Slavik did that same move (the reverse split) when he and Joanna won the World Amateur Latin Championship. Got that one on tape too : )

Tonight they announced the dancers in random order all the way through, no "and the two with the lowest combined totals" -- so one can't really tell anything from Lisa and Stacy being the last two this week.
What what huh? I missed Alec?

So they announced that the finale is on Sunday, 2/26. What happens on Thursday, 2/23 & Friday, 2/24?

They're still dancing on Thursday (2 hour show), and the results are on Sunday (another 2 hours).
For those who are watching for Tom Bergeron ;) Friday is a 2-hour show of America's Funniest Home Videos.

Yes, that's what I heard as well. Perhaps the producers are realizing that there could be a serious Stacy backlash due to the excessive praise from the judges (which IMHO is very well deserved) and want it to seem that she could be in trouble with the fan votes. I'm sad that Lisa is gone despite the fact that she dances circles around Jerry. That being said, a final without Stacy is simply unrealistic. She is clearly the best technical dancer among the celebs on the show.
I must say that season 2 is GREAT for helping promote the industry...with all of the video clips and interviews... the Friday show is very long for what it actually offers (just the results) but they are filling it with stuff that is so good at sensationalizing everything and really making it look good on TV.
ITA! The Friday show is more than just filler, it's great advertising for dance and showing the rest of the country what we've known all along.

Because of February sweeps? Winning your time slot on a Sunday night carries more weight than a Friday, right? :?

Fridays and Saturdays are typically the nights with the lowest viewerships because people are usually out (I never catch the results show live and have to watch it "tape delayed for the east coast" ;) ) so yes I think having the results show on Sunday carries more weight.

Seriously, though, Torville and Dean did a "stealing the hat" ice dance routine that was much cuter. Of course, they're not as cute as these two. Holy tabouli!
I admittedly felt bad for Lisa and Louis...even though I wasn't warming up to the crying/squealing business. It should have been Jerry to go...
