Hey everyone,
My dance partner Sean & I did a segment for DWTS at the beginning of this season. We taught them a charleston lesson for them to go back to the roots of quickstep. Unfortunately, the segment got cut cause they decided to go with a different storyline. However, it was SO much fun and let me tell ya, Drew is AWESOME!!! I taught him this really tricky charleston break and he got it (both the lead and footwork parts of it) on only the 2nd try. He truly is a natural dancer...EVERYONE VOTE FOR DREW AND CHERYL!!!!!!! And, they are really cool people:-)

Hey....I'm planning on voting for Drew and Cheryl merely because I feel Stacy has too much of an unfair advantage with her 15 years of dancing. I know...maybe not the most rationale argument, but I've *been* Drew...so I can relate!
I know what you mean. I'm voting for Drew & Cheryl too.

Yeah, Drew is really awesome...Cheryl has done an incredible job training him. Their choreography is really well done and brings out their strengths.
I don't know what it is about Staci, but I feel like because of her good looks and long legs, she is getting higher scores than she deserves. Yeah, she looks good out there, but I thought her jitterbug was kind of lame. She got a perfect score on that I think. She kept pulling up her shoulders (which is ironically something the judges criticized Drew for), but it seems like she can do no wrong in the eyes of the male judges especially. When the female judge tried to critique something with her facial expressions (which were also lame and I had noticed), Staci acted really snippy with her. God forbid anyone critique her!!??
anyway, Drew always takes criticism and then fixes it by the next week. He is working his ass off and every performance has had passion and great technicality. I hope he wins!!!

I agree about Stacey. To me, she looks like she's treating her body as an object--a beautiful object, no doubt--and putting "it" through its paces. I don't feel like she's dancing IN her body. Maybe I shouldn't criticize, because I think part of it may be that she's naturally a more reserved person, and I certainly know what that's about.
One thing I really like about Drew is the precision of his footwork. I know it's not always correct, but even when he's taking a toe lead when he should take a heel lead, that toe lead is precise!

I feel some of the same way about Stacey and I don't say it because I am afraid it is because I am so flaming jealous! After all if I were as tall as she is I would be built right, but I think there is more to it. She does use the body as part of the weapon and that is something that Drew can't do. He has to strictly dance to the best of his ability and the male judges would not be impressed even if he did have 41 inch legs and he kept throwing them into the air. I love his style and attitude and the way he really goes for each and every dance. I think he has made such efforts and improvements and he will be getting my votes unless he ends up setting this one out.:D

I'm much more jealous of people like Giselle and Tia, who can express themselves through their bodies, even if they aren't textbook gorgeous or technically perfect.

article from the Philippine News on cheryl's victory. in it, she reveals she's headed to the Philippines for the first time in seven years for a much-needed vacation and to investigate endorsements/other opportunities that may be available for her there now.

If you live in the LA area you can get your Cheryl fix by going to The Blue Jeans Bar in Santa Monica (1409 Montana Ave.) on Sunday, March 19th, from 5:00-7:00pm. She'll be there signing things, and you can buy "Dance On, Cheryl" and "Drew Crew" T-shirts.
And, if you've missed it, she's got a web site going at www.strictlycheryl.com (http://www.strictlycheryl.com).

What did I miss? I hate Tony Danza's hosting style. So please have mercy on me and give me the high points.

"dance on"?
"dance on"?
Oh you know, like, "carry on" or "party on"
Just another action to throw before or associate with "on" I guess.

Cheryl made the "Fashion Police" page of US WEEKLY this week, and the critics were not amused. She was rocking a very standard "I'm a latin dancer" look but I think the honeymoon in the press is over - she's no longer getting a pass. I'll be curious to see if her style evolves in her post-DWTS life.

Reported on my wake-up radio this morning . . . Cheryl Burke, 2 time STAR of DTWS . . . romantic love interest . . . Lawrence . . . relative of . . .
Obviously missed some things since, well, I was waking up!
What stuck out for me was the choice of the word "star" with no mention of qualifiers such as pro dancer

She's dating Matthew Lawrence, younger brother of Joey. It's on People's website... Apparently, it's recent.
