After two years of unemployment and illness I got a new work!

By Monday I will start at a dance shoe shop. There is the owner, a young girl and me. I will learn how to take care of the company regarding ervything. Not only selling.

It is located in the countryside quite close to me. Most of the selling is done at competitions and danceclasses. Amazingly amounts are sold by postorder.

The website is only in Swedish so far. By first responsibility is to make a new one - partly in English. (I worked as webdesigner previously).

At the beginning I will work for two months. If everything works fine - regarding my healt and her finances - I may continue.

Awesome news, and great that you can work at something that is related to dancing. I worked at a dance shoe shop for five years. :)

Thanks all of you!

I see this as a break through for my newborn (or newly detected) talents as a network builder & salesperson . She wants me because I know the latino world. I have already given her a lot of leads that has given great affairs. She knows all about Lindy hop, Swedish bugg and Line dance. I know how to build websites & databases. She know how to run a company. We are two pieces that fit together. I guess we are going to become a great team!

The best things is that I must mix my job with the salsa & latino world - I actually need to grow my salsa network. An ordinary job would possibly have forced me to take several steps away from the life I love so much. Now the job forces me to stay. Working as a teacher or dancer would probably have killed my passion for dancing in time. Selling shoes and running a shoe business is close but not too close.

Wow, that's brilliant! I wish I could find a dance related work (before starting to work as a teacher).

Hmm. There was an older thread about that somewhere -- meaning ideas of dance-related jobs or businesses. I'll try to dig it up, T_E, and either post it or PM you the link. I believe dancersdreamland has a pretty comprehensive list, as well.

Dang! If my search is correct, I started that topic three separate times, and never got more than five replies.

Maybe I'd better find the ddl link for ya. BRB. :car:
