Finally there is a german version of the show coming out. It's going to start on April 3rd after the current season of superstar is over. There are going to be some stars on it that might very well be also internationally known.
The Jury is going to consist of Michael Hull, Joachim Llambi, Markus Schöffl an Katharina Witt.
Among others there are going to compete: Heike Henkel and Jürgen Hingsen (former decathlete). The rest are some German actors, a former politician and anchorman and a german singer.

OK, thanks.
I'm curious... what's the name of the German version? Also DWTS like in the USA, Australia, and New Zealand, Strictly Come Dancing like in the UK, or something else?

It's let's dance. They probably think, if they would give the show a german name it wouldn't appeal to a younger audience.

Wow, I wouldn't have expected that. Don't younger viewers watch lots of TV shows that are named in German? So what is it about this case that makes an English name seem "better"? I'm particularly surprised because Germany is one of the coutries where ballroom competitions seem to get a good ammount of airtime.

You can watch the video clips of the dances of round 1 and 2 at http://www.rtl.de/tv/letsdance_pix_clips.php.
First you have to register. Go to http://www.rtl.de/index.php and select the second but last option in the left navigation bar: "Neu anmelden". Then you can go to the above page and view the videos.
I hope you can figure it out, this web site is kind of confusing, not very user friendly.

I thought there were only few stars that did well. Too bad. Maybe they will make lots of progress over the weeks :)
