A really interesting article, with which I agree. In smooth dancing, I think I'm stuck at stage 2, much of the time. In rhythm, I'm either in stage 2 or stage 3. Take a look at the article. Where are you?

Well, there's a lot of different levels of "competence." There's no doubt that many aspects must be drilled into physical memory, though. What is unsaid is that to even attain " Conscious Competence" of an aspect might very well require movements that you are not currently capable of doing. And even if you physically learn certain movements, it might turn out that you are leaving other movements out, and then it's back to square 1.
