As a New England resident, and as the summer grows closer, I was curious to know who has attended Waterfire in Providence in the past. It can get very crowded, but I really enjoy the atmosphere there.

Hey! that's my neck of the woods.... you absolutely have to let me know if and when you go to them this summer!!!
Yes, I've been to them before and they get very very crowded, but they're still alot of fun. Aside from the dancing outdoors, I love walking along the river too and everything else that's going on! it's great!
Also, I believe that the Brown team normally performs at one of them each summer.

Brown usually kicks off waterfire with a ballroom performance. Last years was really awesome to watch. There was a decent floor in sovereign bank plaza and the weather was crystal clear and warm with a mild wind. They had a few showcase routines with many couples (from all ability levels) and Russle Monk gave a foxtrot lesson (i think).
It was a lot of fun. The rest of waterfire is worth seeing once or twice.
If you can get a group to go, definitely do it. But find out when Brown will be performing.

I'm really not sure what state I'm going to be in this summer, but if it happens to be Massachusetts, I definatly plan to visit Waterfire. Last summer I worked at a residential summer camp outside Boston, but my weekend days off never seemed to line up with Waterfire days. :( Hopefullly this summer will work out better!

Yeah the date with the Brown team is a lot of fun. I remember a V Waltz show routine, but I'm not sure if it was last year or a previous year. And the best part of Waterfire....Cheesecake Factory afterwards.

Def going to Waterfire this year! My favs are the waltz/foxtrot night and the salsa night.
On a side note does anyone here know what Cape Verdean dance is? They have a night for that but I've never been and don't know what it is.
Here is the link for anybody who is interested too. I don't think I saw it posted on here yet.... www.waterfire.com (http://www.waterfire.com)
Yay for Cheesecake Factory. Nothing like adding back everything you just burned away! :-)
