Anyone heard of American vintage dances. Went to folk dance tonight at Cornell and they did "Salty Dog Rag", polka, and a version of tango -- forgot the name. Anyway, googling turned up that these dances "covers dancing from the Mid-Nineteenth Century through the Ragtime Era (approximately 1850 - 1920)" or in short Victorian/Ragtime dance.

So, I'm curious. How many of you are into American vintage dancing, and do you get many opportunities to do it? Have you ever done it? I'm particularly interested in the more esoteric dances, such as Schottische
and Mazourka..
