Matthew Cutler and Nicole...what happened?

Hi, folks! I've been a fan of Matthew Cutler and Nicole (Undefeated World, European, Open British, International & UK Amateur Latin American Champions & World, European, Open British, Internationl and UK Open Professional Latin American Finalists) for ages and was quite distressed to hear they'd broken up a few months back. I haven't heard much about it other than that Nicole will be dancing with someone else. Does anyone know the story of what happened and why?
I feel a little tear welling up inside me every time I think of them parting ways! :)

Yes, SD! I do, thank you! :) But I'm yet to read about why the split.

I thought they were married, so I'm assuming a breakdown in dancing partnership would be the result of a marriage split, which is horridly sad anyway.

But there's NOTHING out there...it's all very odd. They are such a fabulous looking couple on the dancefloor and I've always wanted to see them live. I'll hopefully be in London next year and was going to do a lesson with them, but obviously not now... I was just wondering why they stopped dancing together.

Wow. It's amazing how public high level competitors' lives are. It must be hard for them. But then, that's the way it goes for any public figure, I guess. The price you pay for fame. *shrug*

I'm sure there's some info out there about it on one of the ballroom boards. Did you try googling it? This board isn't really heavy on the competition news (yet), but there are quite a few boards all over the world that do little else. I bet the info you want is out there.

Oh MadamSamba. You're not going to like this. Here is the discussion(from dancescape.com/mydancefriends). Fact: Matthew and Nicole broke up. Fact: They have also divorced. Rumor: He came out of the closet. Rumor: he's partnered with Charlotte Esgrande. Public statement: Matthew and Nicole are still the best of friends. Yikes!
