A question in another forum (http://www.salsaforums.com/) has prompted me to revisit this site:

http://www.eijkhout.net/lead_follow/

I found it (through DF, actually) about 2 years ago when I was a beginner, and it helped me a lot. I thought I'd post a link to this gem for the benefit of people who haven't discovered it yet ;).

I had also read them when I started. Good articles.

Here are a couple shorter ones from the So Calif Lindy Society that I also rather liked, one for leaders and another for followers. More common sense than technique:

Thanks, DWise1! These are great articles, too. As a follower I recognized a lot of the advice I've gotten from my instructors, and a lot of the mistakes I continue to make (like anticipating leads.) As a "wanna-be" leader, there were some great tips on communication and things to keep in mind while leading. (I have had some experiences lately leading followers who were a real challenge--made me feel sorry for some of the leaders I've danced with, and motivated me to work on my following! Nothing like the view from the other side!)
