Okay, I'm mainly a salsa nut but find it enjoyable when a couple slips in ten seconds of a different type of dance. I watched a couple spring a little belly dancing into their salsa routine today and it was pretty awesome. What are some of the best dance combinations that you've seen latley?

Belly dance into Salsa! How fun!!!!
In general, I've seen a lot of belly dance and hip hop added into other forms of dance, such as ballroom, Irish, tap, etc.
I don't have any specific combos, though.

I've also heard/danced to a lot of bolero/merengue or bolero/salsa songs. It's nice to have a few bolero moves up your sleeve. :)

This weekend I just saw someone adding a latin flair to WCS on the local dance network/music channel in NYC. Foxtrot slipped into swing too!

Occasionally I wind up combining EC and WC swing, more out of necessity when a dance floor gets insanely crowded. Slotted swing can be a lifesaver sometimes
the more dances I study, the more I begin to see that moves are moves are moves and that the same moves are/can be used in many different dances. What's different is more the attitude, the posture, the connection, and the flava (spelling entirely intentional).
best,

I add a lot of hip hop stuff, moon walking etc, into my WCS.
Sometimes I incorporate old line dance moves into the WCS . . .
As Phil Owl says . . combining ECS and WCS is a must . . .
And, I can never do a Hustle without getting into WCS for a few patterns.

Very well said Sue. One of the most impressive things is to see a really good couple dance the exact same moves in several dances and leave you with no doubt that they were very different dances indeed!
