Danced a tango to "One Night in Bankok" by Murray Head?

or danced Lindy/WCS to Will Smith?

Or am I the only one that likes to do "traditional" dances to "non-traditional" music?

What is the most oddball piece of music you've danced ballroom/latin/swing to (non-strict tempo music that is)?

My first example is the above. It was probably the most fun I've ever had in my life.

I was in a "Just for Fun" 2 Step contest once, and as we were getting down to just 5 contenders left to be thown out by the judges, the DJ, for his next song, played Mambo #5. Try 2 Stepping to that!

Depends on which version of it... If it was the Lou Vega version... That's *easy*. 1,2,3,4,5....

That's the version . . . it was the tempo that got me . . . a little more faster than I could handle!!!

I'm a Swing dancer, not a C&W dancer for fun . . . just compete in it!

I've danced rhumba to Turkish music. There's a whole thread called Salsa to World Music (http://www.dance-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=1020&highlight=salsa+music) also. Done waltzes and a foxtrot as well to folk music.
