Hey folks, just thinking about our big Chrissy ball and was wondering what songs they might play. So, here's a question, if you were holding a Christmas ball, what suggestions do you have for music to the usual 10 dances as well as swing and salsa?

Not sure if this should be started in another thread, but...
Along those lines -- x'mas songs that those who don't really dance would feel like moving to. Or x/mas songs that one has to dance to if they come on. I'm considering ways to convert the whole familial gathering at x/mas. I figure that if I can make a mix with enough "chrissy" dance songs slippped in here and there I will be making a step in the right direction. :)

Mariah Carey has a Christmas CD I heard the other day with a couple nice ECS tunes on it.

John Lennon's "So This Is Christmas" would work for Viennese Waltz.
"Last Christmas" by George Michael. It's a little lengthy, but should be ok for Hustle or Cha-Cha.
"Hard Candy Christmas" by Dolly Parton for Rumba.

The band we go to see on Tuesday nights has been playing lots of christmas music with a swing beat. It's kind of neat swing dancing to christmas songs. They've played Winter Wonderland, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer for swing and they played White Christmas for a good shmoozer. :D
