Hey girls.
I haven't used this website, so I can't speak to the quality of the stuff there, but it looks like it has a lot of pieces that could be used in making latin costumes. (Really, I don't know where else you would wear a lot of this stuff . . . but to each her own, I suppose.)

Just thought I'd mention the find. :)

Wow.
You know, on one other thread floating around we were just discussing real vs. fake cleavage!
I don't know about the site, or the potential for latin costumes, but those tops make me want to get in shape to wear them. I'd have to get over my hang-up over baring my stomach, though. And everything else! LOL.
Granted, it doesn't look like they'd be very good for dancing, at least not without modification.

Yeah, some are danceable, some aren't. But when I make costumes, I find it much faster if I've got a shirt or dress to start from. Some of those would be great for that.
And you're right - maybe that link does belong on the cleavage thread :)
Now to find a partner, catch up on the last three years of regressing from lack of lessons, get in shape, and start competing again so I have an excuse to make a new costume! No problem, right? :)

I actually bought a dress from this site for about $35, spent $30 at a tailor, added some serious bling, and it turned into one of my favorite latin dresses. Funny thing is, I get more compliments on it than I do on some of my designer dresses. Go figure.

A good tailor can do wonders. :D

This top I just linked above is HOT STUFF! :D It would go incredibly well with a small strapless top on the inside, to get the cleavage edge off. Something like this, for instance (this one is a bra, but you get the idea): http://www.barenecessities.com/product.asp?pf_id=Maidenform40976&source=nextag&term=Maidenform40976

Yup - or stone the hell out of a bra for underneath.
Like I said - great potential for latin costumes. Or strippers. Such a fine line some days.

The names are totally weird. But the tops aren't that bad. ;)

they have a good selection of sticky-bras too :) Has anyone here tried the sticky "side wings" one? I've only used the "stick directly on boobs" one.

Some of them are... yikes. But you know what they say: it's worth going through the hooker closet just in case you find yourself a nice feather boa. ;)

Without looking at the web page, I can only hazard a guess about the "side wings" bra. If it's what I'm thinking of, it's like a strapless bra that doesn't go all the way around but has these little sticky tabs at the side, no? I've used both at various times, but haven't tried the sticky-wings one for dancing.
The "stick directly on boobs" one (DH refers to it/them as "sticky boobs") is pretty good, depending on what you're asking it to do. I much prefer the look it creates (more cleavage), and I think it's much more comforable. Also more natural looking--as one flat-chested friend of mine put it when she tried them, "OMG, why didn't I just try buying boobs like this before!" However, when I start to really sweat, it don' stick so good. If you're wearing something tight it's not so much of a problem, b/c they're held in place. If you're not wearing somthing tight, be careful about them falling out the bottom. Almost BTDT.
Like I said, I haven't tried the sticky-wings for dancing, but in general I don't care for them. I find them uncomfortable, unnatural looking, don't do much to enhance anything, and kind of pointless. Based on their performance in standing around at a cocktail party, I doubt they'd stick well if you were sweaty from dancing. I found them hit-or-miss when it came to sticking. And they were hard to put on right--and if you screwed it up you were out one of the little sticky tabs.

"Sticky boobs" worked well for me the first time. No problems. Lasted the whole comp. The second time one of them decided to migrate south (luckily this was during warmup....), and I had to rinse them off and reapply, and still didn't feel confident that it wouldn't take a dive again. The time it worked, Standard/Smooth was first (and I needed them to wear under a backless gown). The second time, Latin/Rhythm was first, and I had them on so as not to have to worry about applying them later for Standard/Smooth. Maybe that was my mistake....
The sticky wings one is allegedly reusable like the sticky boobs (i.e. doesn't use tape).

maybe it's TMI, but what are you? B? C?
(just trying to figure out if I should even consider...)

How about taking the sticky boobs and using some toupee tape as well? I don't think it's overkill...

Small enough to go commando, but not comfortable enough to do so, especially while dancing ;)
re: toupee tape, that would seriously wreck the sticky boobs, I think. You have to take special care of them so they stay sticky.
The one I have looks very much like this:

and here's the "sticky wing" one I'm curious about:

thanks for the info...
I think Macy's carries those sticky wing type of bras, and last time I was there they had one open for sample... might work if you're small
