Plus I think you're guaranteed a better turnout in NY/NJ in Feb than you are in the middle of one of the busiest holidays of the year. :D

Perhaps the turnout may be better, from the locals, but the time of year may deter overseas visitors, who are not used to snow/moving around in snow and therefore may not have the outdoor clothing for that time of year.

Nonetheless, I wish the organisers success and those who do make it, to have a wonderful time!
