View Full Version : What do you do with dance gear you don't need anymore

OK, I have two pairs of shoes which I bought a while ago. I bought them before I knew what I know now about dance shoes and I bought them as I buy dressy shoes - to match a set of outfits. Hence I own two pairs which I don't wear much. They're both in OK condition because I didn't wear them a lot. One pair have stretched slightly, and I cannot wear it anymore unless I put thicker socks, which does not work with open-toe shoes. I've no idea what to do with them. I normally donate my used clothing to Salvation Army, but I doubt they would be interested in dance shoes.

Are they in good enough condition to give to beginning dancers that might have need?

They have some signs of wear, but I think they're still good enough. I don't know anyone in person who might be interested in used shoes and have size 6 feet.

They're certainly worth listing if you would normally just donate them anyway, right?

Ideally someone will get a pair of shoes they can use for practice and DF will get some $ and, at worst, you'll still have to figure out what to do with them. :wink:

If they don't sell here at our auction, you can always take them to a local college team. I have dumped (oopss donated) literally hundreds of pairs of shoes to various colleges in the New England area.

Yes. They were just officially donated for DF Silent Auction, so if you're interested, you know what to do ;)
