"yo bailo el salsa muy bueno" tee shirt

Stab in the dark, I know. I saw this on a salsa-apparel site somewhere and thought it was absolutely hilarious, but they didn't carry women's sizes.

If anyone knows of a site where I could find this in a women's small or medium, I'd love to hear about it.

Is it just me that does not get it, or are the mistakes in spanish just real mistakes and not a joke ?

You forgot the first line of the t-shirt:
"Me nombre es Raul"

Possibly only people who have seen the TV advert in the UK will get this joke.

There are 3 mistakes in this sentence. Little spanish lesson.

1. "Yo bailo"..would indicate "I" dance but you don't. So use "bailo" by itself because "I dance Salsa very well" could also mean "I dance Salsa very well (but you don't)":shock:
I don't know about latin american spanish but in Spain using yo, tu, el......like yo hablo, tu eres is used to stress things. They say Hablo, bailo, voy....Not "yo hablo, yo bailo". That looks like classroom spanish.

2. Salsa is femimine so "La Salsa" NOT" El Salsa".


3. "muy bueno"= very good. To dance is verb (action) To describe an action to use an adverb like "well" NOT "good". "Good" is an adjective.
I dance well NOT I dance good.



"Me Encanta La Salsa" would be better.
or
"¿Quieres Bailar?"

I am pretty sure the whole point is that is wrongly structured otherwise, it would be such a bland, flat, saying, lol that is how some people talk too, and from a native point of view, it is quite funny so I think the shirt rocks, it actually made my laugh, which I think its the purpose

Yes: for Lita_rulez, devane, and anyone else who didn't get it: this is classic American high-school (read: bad) Spanish, and I laughed out loud when I saw the tee shirt. (Whoever made the shirt was spot-on: the gender error and the indiscriminate use of 'bueno' are very very typical of English speakers.)

Of course it's funniest if you both a) look like a super-gring@ (blond etc.), and b) dance like a star, neither of which really describe me. But I really wanted the shirt anyway. Maybe I could make myself a knockoff.

Hey, thanks for the link GTO Bruin! The shirt is even better (or worse) than I remembered (it's actually "yo bailar el salsa mucho bueno", hee). I still don't see women's sizes, but I'm considering just getting a men's small anyway.
