I want to make a list of the most annoying Merengue songs. That way I can make a CD and give it to people I hate. :) Do you guys have any suggestions?

Too funny! :lol: :lol: I don't have suggestions, yet, although I listen to a salsa station daily. I can log back in and post later.

Oh my goodness. I just heard the world's worst merengue song on the radio. It was so annoying I couldn't listen until the end to find out who was "singing." It was a really fast meregue with no actual singing, just a guy periodically yelling stupid stuff. Like 24/7, baby! 2005, baby! You can't mess with this baby! When he started naming all the Latin music "saints," such as Santa Celia Cruz, Santo Tito Puente, I thought I would SCREAM! I had to turn to the smooth jazz station to calm my nerves. Yikes! :evil: :shock:

Lol, I actually like La Makina. I think the first song I ever heard from them was "Celosa" which I didn't find very annoying. Now I do agree that some of their songs are annoying, but there is much worst...Oro Solido for example. Anyway, I've listened to "La Vaca"...and it's pretty annoying. It can't beat "Maria se fue" though.

ROTFL...I hear ya! Unfortunately, they play too much of that on the radio in our area. You have to tell us what that song is if you dare and try too listen to it again. Talk about torture. Too funny!

My most annoying? The whole Elvis Crespo's Urban Latino CD. If I hear "Pequina, Eh cha te pa' ca'"(sp?) one more time...... :roll: :roll: :x It's not a bad CD, but I can't remember any of the lyrics except... well, you know.... 8)

ROTFL - yes, it's like every song of Elvis Crespo has that phrase in there. In the Suavemente CD, he even says the same thing in the bolero song that's the last track of the CD. Imagine him saying this SLOOOWLY. (YAWWWWN!!!!!!!)

I second La Vaca and Maria Se Fue among the most annoying merengue songs of all time :lol: :lol: :lol:

LOL! I'll have to check out the audio clips on the web. Elvis Crespo merengue? I bet I've heard it on the stupid salsa/pop station I listen to, I just don't know what it's called. Gotta learn to speak Spanish! :roll: :wink:
