AT to William Tell, eh? I've soooo gotta' dance with you sometime. With all due respect to your lovely SO. Any man who can think of how to lead AT to that is way awesome.

It was at first very tricky. It seemed to have a beat way too fast for any real musicality, yet then I found something else in the music and away we went. :bouncy:
Just as a caution, when dancing AT with me, don't expect much more then the basics at the moment, but I've had several far more experienced followers make positive comments on my musicality, and sometimes this makes all the difference between fun and boring. ;)

Someone was asking on another thread what dance genre to focus on if a person was looking to do soemthing for a couple of years without spreading one's self ouot too thin.
It's because of things like dancing to just about any type of music that makes AT seem to be the most logical choice, yet at the same time strikes the emotional side of us, too. :D
It was such a kick to dance to Andre Rieu on a Saturday night with the SO in the living room of her place. If we liked the tune we danced. If not, we listened to an exceptional musical talent anyway.
Only thing missing was a wood floor. Those rugs can be so much of a bummer even when dancing only in socks.
I put on Andre Rieu in Maurice Ravell's bolero several times in our milongas here and I was not the only one enjoying it :) - in fact nearly everyone did!
This version is "only" 8min long - perfect...as the original (non rieu) is a little too long for a milonga (21min I believe).
We were giving a workshop recently on dancing to Piazolla and music without a beat - something many dancers find difficult - but this opens another world - especially towards classical music.
Happy dancing!
