I have been travelling to london a few times this year. I've found several salsaplaces, where I have enjoyed dancing. Sound, in Leicester sq, Buffalo bar(pure cuban style), clockwork/la finca, bar salsa, Digress, and Floridita. These places have become my favorites in London..I recommend searching online for adress, and opening hours...there are different places for each day.
I hope you will enjoy salsa in london, as much as I have...I suppose some nights will be better than others, depending on what are your prefered style of dancing and music. I know I have been recommended some other places too, which I have not been able to check out yet..so I just mention, the places I have been to myself.
Hope this will be a start, to find salsa in london:)

Have a look at this website - www . londonsalsa.co.uk It is pretty uptodate in terms of events/venues/teachers. You didn't say where in London you will be based - this could affect where you go/the recommendations you get :?

Re Floridita, Floridita is good/nice but it is not a "heavy" dance place. The atmosphere is great but it is also a bar and restaurant (very upmarket) and as such, a) the level of dancing can be variable b) the music catering to a non hardcore salsa crowd c) not that easy to ask guys (or girls) for a dance as they may be on a date or in a party group. In addition, Floridita has a door policy which includes a guest list on Fridays and Saturdays. Sometimes you can be lucky and still get in, on others not - I have seen people being turned away :?

I'd recommend the LondonSalsa web site too. Best places to go depends a bit on your preferred style. Salsa! on a Monday and Wednesday nights are supposed to have a fairly good mix or people. I really like SOS whenever I make it to London which is on a Sunday evening. That's mainly 'cross-body' stlye though and there's usually a number of on2 dancers. Someone has already mentioned the more Cuban style clubs.
