While I was out dancing last night, I heard a song that started out as a salsa, then changed to a chacha in the middle, and then turned back into a salsa at the end. Anybody have any idea of the name and artist of this song?
Also, while I'm thinking about it, there's also a chacha song I've heard that has an obvious sample of Usher's "Yeah!" Does anybody know the name and the artist?

There are quite a few " salsas ", that change into what you call cha cha ( they are Guajiras ) and also boleros and cumbias , have several recordings by different groups , doing similar .O.D.L. does a bolero to salsa and p.r.p. do a rhumba to a guajira. All, very cuban influenced .

A few weeks back I heard a very good mix of Usher's "Yeah" and "Magalena" by Sergio Mendes. There were some other songs in there too I think. Has anyone come across it? It was very nice.

might try looking for yeah! (mi morena) or esa nena, since I think I remember one going like:
mira como baila como ... mi morena, esa nena si esta buena...
Can't remember who plays... Hope it helps.
