Okay, leaders, here's a topic primarily for you. What do you do to "frame" your follows, meaning make them look good on the floor? That's what leads do, right? So what do you do?

Find out what they like. Different follows like different kinds of moves. This is for salsa as that's what I've been doing most of recently: One follows might just want fast dancing with spins/turns/complicated moves, another who loves solo shines....another who is a beginner and so does not like them as she gets flustered.
That's a tough one. I always try to take them to the limit of their ability, as much as possible, then back off a little. One rule I try to follow is to always complete any spins quickly enough that she's never waiting for me to finish, so that it never looks like I'm showing off at her expense.

.... another who loves solo shines....
Standing still while she shines with some solo shines can be a tough one.
Sometimes she smiles and really enjoys the opportunity :D
And other times you get the “YOU DONT DO THAT AGAIN” look.

I try to be a little all round in the salsa styles.
I don’t mix the styles, but I’ will be able to adjust to her,
and give her something different , if she can’t adjust
to what I started up with.
