I don't know if anyone will care, but I though I would mention I got the idea for the Dance Forums Logo from this one back in about 2004 or so.

To be honest, I never noticed the df in the logo background before . . . has it always been there?
sheepishly admits: I always thought it was woodgrain, like a dance floor.... But now that I see it, that's actually really cool!

So why is the online logo:

So different from the one on the cafepress.com merchandise?

Thanks for the reply. I still wonder why DF has two logos, rather than adopting one to use both on t-shirts and on the site.

Good question.
I was browsing a drumming website, http://www.drums.com/forums/, and I noticed that the format and design are similar. Are these websites owned by a single person or company?

Probably, they both use the same forum software (http://www.vbulletin.com/) on their servers. It's a pretty popular system. It also has a few look-alike clones, so it's also possible the drum forum is running one of them.
