For all you singles out there, now that you've discovered the joys of dancing, would you date someone who didn't dance or _ shock, horror _ disliked dancing?

I know many people are married to or dating people who don't participate in dancing, but if you met the guy or gal of your dreams and they mocked your dancing or actively campaigned for you to stop it or cut it back significantly, what would you do?

I'm wondering because I've noticed that when it comes to potential beaus I'm steering well away from guys who don't dance. In fact, suddenly people I may never have found attractive suddenly appear a whole lot more interesting once I know they dance or might be interested in doing so...

Hmm...I'm only a little bit obsessed...

I wouldn't rule a non-dancer out completely but it certainly helps for my guy to have an interest. For some reason, I've always attracted non-dancers and well, it didn't turn out good. (Mostly, for other reasons than dance.) Anyway, I'm quite passionate about dance so it will help if there's that same passion or at least and extreme like.

I think more imporant of whether or not the person dances is if they are or are not supportive of YOUR choice to dance. You need to be with someone who is supportive of your wants/needs/desires and vice versa.

My fiance does NOT dance. He has tried a few times and I always secretly hope he'll fall in love with the art form, but really it's just not his thing. He is, however, very supportive of my love for dance and does not stand in the way of my doing so.

All the best!

Yes they have to at least be supportive. If not there's no chance. I would LOVE to fall for a dancer though!

Hmm.. I actually broke up with my BF after I got a new job with better schedule and started dancing more... He was very supportive and wanted to dance too but he can't move to the music... We just didn't spend enough time together anymore

salsachinita, all you need to do is copy the url. The software automatically creates a link. But you may need to be sure to include the "http://" part.
