I was only partially watching this movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0156757/) last night.

It was cute. Sort of a reversed Pretty in Pink, (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091790/) where Keri Russell's character is rich and priviledged and the male lead's character is poor.

Typical late teen/early 20's flick with an Irish slant. The acting will occasionally make you cringe, the dialogue moreso (Keri Russell gives a hilarious unintended double entendre towards the end - I'm sure the writers didn't mean it that way), the plot is cliched, and the dancing & music wasn't so great, lol.

But hey, if you're looking for a light romantic comedy with at least a little dancing, this might be something to rent.

I saw this a few years ago.
I got some a girl called Felicity or it's the girl from some show "Felicity" ( I don't watch that much TV).
It was set in Belfast or somewhere up north.
I don't remember the story but I do remember the school was a Samba school and the soundtrack wasn't great (low budge). There was even a Spice girls song in it.
Apparently the best way to improve you soccer skills is Samba?

I must confess though. This film and "Born Romantic" where in the DVD bargain bucket in my local Video shop.
I think it cost 10 Euro (converts to practically nothing) for the 2 DVD's I didn't buy them but now I wish I did.
I would like to see them again.
Neither are really dance movies.

I remember watching this movie. This is not a movie that will make one go out and learn how to dance salsa, or to bend it like Beckham, for that matter, but it was pleasantly watchable.

So is that the secret of Brazilian football? I wish I had known this earlier...

Yes, from what I understand, Keri Russell was the main character for the tv series, Felicity.

She really needed to work on her Irish accent, though. It was pretty awful, lol, and was a pretty constant point of amusement.
