I don't know, but I'll tell you my minimum manly man requirements.
1. Ability and willingness to lift heavy objects.
2. Ability to contain or eliminate scary bugs and other small vermin on demand.
3. Dexterity when handling wood screws or anything involving wall anchors.

While it may lack taste, I think the link is not so bad as to delete it, but we should keep an eye on Mr. Jihad.

No problems there. :P
2. Ability to contain or eliminate scary bugs and other small vermin on demand.
While I don't believe in killing bugs, I will take them outside. :)
3. Dexterity when handling wood screws or anything involving wall anchors.
Most definitely - I took wood shop! :)
However - I must say that I really don't consider myself a "manly-man" though. Its just not me - I dont watch sports, don't drink beer and I also love to cook and express my feelings. And I'm most certainly not a "girly-man" or a metrosexual - which incidentally isn't a new phenomenon, just an old fad that has gained new popularity.
Back in days of a yore - such a fellow was called a "perfumed fop."
Hmm, with apologies to all the girly-girls...I must say I'm more attracted to a slightly manly-girl! For instance, a girl that isn't afraid to hold a reptile (or a scorpion for that matter), work on a car, get her hands dirty - oooh that is sooooooo sexy! :ladiesma:

I'm both a manly-man and a metro-sexual. As was Gregory Peck (I still love Maddox).
1a. I am willing to lift heavy objects.
1b. This is proven by the bags of shoes I buy.
2a. I am willing to kill what needs killing, and lay the smack down on those that need to be smacked down.
2b. I'm also capable of making a fine dinner and selecting the perfect wine to go with it.
3a. I have dexterity when handling wood screws or anything involving wall anchors.
3b. I also am good at interior decorating and can make the decisions that lead up to using screws and wall anchors.[/b]

I think I'm gonna have to go with d nice on this one. I can do all the manly stuff (construction, auto repair, kill stuff, whatever), but can also decorate, clean, cook, choose a matching outfit, etc.

No-one at present who is as well qualified as you BBG!! I have an extra large bed. It's a bit too much for little ole me, so I'm looking for someone to share it with!! Seriously, if someone wants to come and hang out for a while in the summer in the Fingerlakes region, dance to a band at a park, do the wine tour, visit the gorges...you are welcome. And you don't have to sleep in my bed, if you don't mind a sleeping bag. :)

Might be so Lindyj...I tell you I was falsely accused as the biggest DF Flirt! I've never gone so far as to mention the size of my bed or invite any DF ladies to visit (my bed is queen size in case anyone is curious...which is plenty big for me and a lady...or two...(or three!)). :P
No gf here either, but I had a really rough time in the dating scene last year (hmm and the one before too)...so I'm going to stay single for a while...my hearts taken enough damage that it could stand a little more recovery....

I'm not cruising for chicks either. I have a decent sized bed, but not really big enough for me to sleep in it with anyone else... I suppose I'll eventually need to get back into that habit... but not likely anytime soon.
I'm single, and enjoying it... though if the right person came along at the right time I suppose that could change. Who am I to deny the fates?

01-16-2004, 03:57 AM
If I find myself with a gf I'll just buy a bigger bed... easier that way.
danceguy
01-17-2004, 01:51 AM
Yeah...the only reason I have a queen size bed was after a past relationship where my old one was too small for a couple. Hmm...so 800 dollars later I ended up with a really fancy bed (not to mention redecorating my entire apartment)...but after things went sour I ended up keeping it...and I must say its quite comfortable. :)
I'll find someone else to share it with someday...but I'm in no hurry. As I meet more and more ladies at dances...the more I realize that I really want to find someone special and really take my time getting to know them.
I've made enough bad decisions to know what the right person ISN'T like...so live and learn. :?

You guys really need to try a king sized bed. Whether or not there's anybody else in it, it's a luxurious feeling. I highly recommend it.
And, oh yeah, I'm not cruising for chicks, either, oddly enough.
