At Taita's suggestion, I 've added to my goals list for this year attending as many ballroom competitions as I possibly can, to watch, learn, network, and possibly get coaching.
Question: What are your favorite and/or can't miss comps (in the U.S. or out -- I'm not the only one who can benefit by your answers :D )
What makes a comp a can't miss event in the ballroom world?

if you try dancesportpros.com there is a review done by pros after each comp. We list the good points and the bad points of each comp.

The dancesportpros site is down, and I'm not sure if they have plans to bring it back.
Did you possibly mean dancesportcomps.com?
This site will be up and running again, soon... I'll let you know as soon as it's live again ;)
My favorite comp is the Holiday Dance Classic in Las Vegas in December. It was at Paris this year and it'll be at Luxor next year.

I like dancesportcomps.com, too, twodance. When I realized yesterday that it was down, I did a google search on the comp I was loking for, and found another web site. It doesn't have the nice automated search featrues I'm used to, but it's another resource for researching comps, and it has links to many comp home pages.

Boy, I really miss dancesportcomps.com That search by state feature is great. I am looking for competitions within a reasonable drive from my house, and there are a ton of them right here in Florida this year.
Just curious. Does anyone know anything about USISTD championships? The USISTD page is apparently down today.

My girlfriend, Laetitia, did the new design... and Michael Mead does the content, of course.
ENJOY!

The new website looks great. Tell Laetitia she did a great job. It is attrative, easy to access, and easy to navigate, and has a lot of new features. I was waiting anxiously to see it, since I've developed the habit of checking in at least once or twice a week.
It is really cool. :D
