They're coming to Louisiana next week, and I shall make a pilgrimage to take from some of the modern day nuevo gods. :notworth:

I haven't had much nuevo. I'm excited. :cool:

Anybody here taken from them before? My instructor/partner Percell studied and worked a bit with Fabian some time ago, so I'm thinking I'll probably do alright in the classes, but again, I haven't really studied nuevo...

I had a weeks worth of classes with them last year. Boleos, volcadas, colgadas, sacadas, ganchos and so forth. They use a moving embrace. Be prepared to be told not to "hold on".

Well that moving open embrace sets me at ease. That's how Percell works me. Mixes closed and open work into our dancing all the time.

Just got back! These workshops were wonderful. I walked away confident in what I knew going in, but with the certainty that I still have very much to learn and happy that I have plenty of homework. Such wonderful and open and unassuming personalities, such knowledge and also great skill as teachers. I don't know how to more highly recommend these guys. Clean skill + clear, educated and methodical instruction + fun and wonderful personalities... very hard to find such a blend of merits! If you have the chance to study with these guys... DO IT!
