hey all,

i've been going out dancing with a few different girls lately at some dance clubs/bars. its been a lot of fun, but i had a question. i know how to reggae pretty decent, and grind and all, but i wanted to get really better. i was watchin some of the other guyz to see what they were doin that was more advanced, they were doin some more intense reggae, like very passionate between themselves and their partner. i really want to do this with the girls ive been goin out with, especially the one i really like. anyone have any advice for me? also, anyone know of any sites that help with reggae and maybe have clips or somethin? thanx!

Hey vanillathunder!

Do you mean dancehall reggae, with lots of hip grinding and booty shaking? (Think anything between Shabba Ranks in the early nineties to Sean Paul today) Or do you mean older, more traditional reggae, with the little jigging type motion? (Like Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs, Lucky Dube)

I'm guessing you mean dancehall. But please clarify.

Check out this cool website. It has step/pattern decriptions of a bunch of reggae dances and moves from the eighties until now. It also has info about fashion, and music, plus video clips and links to other sites. Hope this helps. 8) Have fun.
