Can anyone suggest some up to date songs that make good hustles? The only one I can think of right off the top of my head is Rock your body by Timberlake but can someone suggest some more up to date songs that aren't to hard to make into hustle?
Thanks
Patrick

Kylie Minogue's "Fever" CD has some good tunes. :) My favorite on that CD is "Can't Get You Out of My Head". Nice hustle. :)

Nowadays, I find myself preferring House music for Hustle for the most part, here's some of the Owl's picks:
Rose Rogue - St. Germain (the Blaze remix)
Tangerine, Big Boat - Ananda Project
Gotta Move On, More More More, Difficult By Design - Kylie Minogue
Naima - Hipnotic(Ron Trent remix)
Slap That Bass - Ella Fitzgerald (Miguel Migs remix)
Sinner Man - Nina Simone (remix on Verve Remixed II)
Elevation - Blaze

I know very little hustle...but I did take a group lesson and loved the music the instructor picked...
Britney Spears - I'm a Slave for You

I absolutely LOVE Hustle...it's my favorite "fun dance" (I compete, so a "fun dance" to me is any dance that is held at comps that has no definite syllabus or skill level) So if anyone ever wants to talk Hustle, I'm here!!! :D Luckily, I keep a pretty good collection of Hustle music to practice to...I tend to prefer using dance remixes of newer songs rather than the traditional "disco" type songs, but I can't resist the occasional spin on the floor to "I Will Survive" every now and then  Anyway, here are a few of my favorites...
Cathy Dennis "Touch Me (All Night Long)" (my absolute fave Hustle song!!)
Aretha Franklin "Pride (A Deeper Love)"
Diana Ross "Love Hangover"
Londonbeat "I've Been Thinking"
Madison Avenue "Don't Call Me Baby"
Toni Braxton "Unbreak My Heart (Remix)"
Evelyn Champagne King "Shame"
Savage Garden "Tears of Pearls"
CeCe Peniston "Finally"
M People "Moving On Up"
Earth Wind and Fire "Boogie Wonderland" or "September"
Hope this has helped :)

That makes two of us BBG!
Though I'm not a competitive dancer by any means, I do enjoy Hustle immensely, for me it's so much fun to lead.
I do enjoy some older 70's vintage tunes, but typically the ones you don't hear very often, the overlooked gems so to speak, ones such as:
Cuba - Gibson Bros.
You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine - Lou Rawls
I Don't Love You Anymore - Teddy Pendergrass
When Love Was New - Arthur Prysock
Cherchez Le Femme - Dr. Buzard's Original Savannah Band
Out Come The Freaks, Tell Me That I'm Dreaming - Was Not Was (OK, that's early 80's)
If My Friends Could See Me Now - Linda Clifford
But all told, I tend to find Deep/Jazz House stuff more appealing.
I Feel Like-Kaskade
The Music In Her Eyes - Swell Session

Was not Was? I forgot all about them. I didn't know they made a hustle tune. I'll see if I can dig up my old audiotape (Yes, that was before I made the CD conversion   )
And, btw, Phil, good luck with the move this weekend. See you on the other (Atlanta) side. :D

RE: Was Not Was. The tunes I mentioned are from their very first album, simply called Was Not Was. It came out in 1981 IIRC. Here's an entry on All Music Guide:

Hustle's fun... In addition to all the songs, I would think "I Say A Little Prayer For You" by Diana King is a hustle-able song.
