What are some things you can think of that have been given a term that is dance related or a variation of?
Examples:
Muhammed Ali's famous foot movement in the ring - Ali Shuffle
Not sure whom it is attributed to, but describes the graceful quick movement of I think Deion Sanders - Electric Glide

And the Horizontal Bop!
How about Ted Nugent's Wango Tango.
I think I mentioned earlier that Mambo is the term for a voodoo priestess in Haiti.

DancingMommy - See what you started!
Here's a few that I can think of:
The Curly Shuffle -
This one is dear to me since when I graduated Junior College, the valedictorian yelled out "everyone do the curly shuffle!" as we went on stage. We got quite a bit of applause and made sure to make the sounds to go along with it. :P
Waltzing -
People always say things like "Do you think you can just Waltz right in here and talk to me like that? Why don't you get a job, get a life and lastly get the !#!@!@#! out of my face you $%^@#@!@#!@!" :D

That reminds me of the local USABDA president, who saw a salsa contest advertised in the paper, and when he got there, realized that the contest involved COOKING.  True story.

And I knew a printer who told me when they had an opening for a stripper which is the term for a person who prepares camera copy for the press they would get replies from women who were topless dancers.

From the military alphabet which uses whole words to represent letters.
Tango for "T"
Foxtrot for "F"
Unless it's changed in the years since I was serving.
