what are you into? do you do purses?, nails? what colors?...jewelry?...let's talk...
generally, if not going to a comp, I will try to stretch a manicure and pedicure to once a month...I keep the nails short and go with a nuetral color that matches fingers and toes...I never wear jewelry other than my wedding band unless it is a fancy occasion... then I like artsy/southwestern handcrafted earrings and bracelet...never carry a purse....

My diamond earrings are standard. They were an X-Mas gift from DH, the year that he first started to hit it big with his old company. Go with everything, nice and secure, comfortable. I take them out now and again to clean them, and if I can manage to remember then I'll switch them up for something coordinating if I'm dressing up.
Watch always--was my gift on our first anniversary. Wedding band and diamond ring on left ring finger; gold band and engagement ring on right ring finger. Sometimes I'll switch out the rings on my right hand, but not usually. Even more rarely, I'll sometimes switch out my wedding band for a silver band that I use when I travel.
Don't care about shoes--one pair for winter, one for summer, generally. (For every day use.) Don't care about purses.
I try to paint my toe nails during the summer. Will paint my finger nails sometimes (I like shiny things), but it's such a p.i.t.a. Usually it's good just to have fun chipping it off. Like to keep my finger nails verrrrry short (no white), but I hate cutting my nails. So I cut them super-short every other week.
Edit to add--All nail colors are m.e.t.a.llic. Except the black one I've got. Others in the collection are blue, green, peach, pink, and about 4 "different" shades of red. I think they're different, but really they're all a cranberry color with gold flecks/sparkle.

Well, I've always been a purse girl. And now I am learning how to make purses, so I can sell them as well. You name it. I love accessories! I'm going to talk to my instructor to see if he thinks that selling this stuff would dance would be beneficial. You know like if make out the word dance on a purse or bracelet or whatever.
Nails I am not into yet. Maybe if I ever compete, I will learn more about them. I've tried in the past, but I just couldn't do them by myself lol.

Being in the Air Force, I'm restricted as to the amount/style of jewelry I can wear in uniform and how long/what color my nails are. But, as I mentioned in another thread, I keep my toenails a fire-engine red, hidden inside my uniform boots during the day but out there for all to see in sandals at night. I know, not very outrageous, but about all I can do under the circumstances.
Well, being a cat I don't get into accessories very much. I pretty much use the same stuff for all occassions. Very boring, I know, but very practical. Can't be bothered with nail (claw) polish. And my handbag is like a suitcase. I think the kitchen sink is in there somewhere.

Fingernails: super-short, no polish - I hate it when even a little ridge of nail pokes over the edge of my finger, can't stand it tapping on stuff
Toenails: pedicure a couple of times a year, mostly to take the calluses off. I was trying to keep the nails painted (shades of beige only) for a long time on the theory that it would protect them from breaking when they got stepped on, but they mostly broke anyway and I've been getting lazy about the polish.
Purse: I gotta carry a bag, where else am I gonna put my wallet/phone/sunglasses/car keys/dance shoes?
Shoes: I love shoes, esp open sandals... almost like going barefoot

I wear sandals in the summer, b/c otherwise it's just too damn hot. But, honestly, I really don't like them. No matter how comfy the shoes are, there's always the break-in period where I'm getting blisters or what-have-you. I love winter shoes--nice ankle (or higher--trying to find thigh-high, half-heartedly) boots, hiking boots, paddock boots (clean ones look good with jeans), heeled loafers.
Hate summer shoes.

Here's how I operate accessory-wise:
Fingers - mostly very short, no polish, except when I get acrylics with a french manicure, like right now...I'll keep these until I tire of them then go back to short, unpolished or maybe sheer pastel polish
Toes - short, self-pedicured, always polished, usually a sheer frosty pastel so my mistakes don't show
Jewelry - wedding ring on left hand, my mother's engagement diamond on right hand, silver bangles and/or charm bracelet on right arm, watch on left arm, diamond studs or small silver hoops in ears, various necklaces; diamond pendant from dh, or chunky sterling silver something or other. I like necklaces.
Purses - purse-lover since childhood, for summer I'm alternating between a pink leather tote, brown Sak purse (big, holds a lot) and a black woven bag, also Sak brand.
Shoes - I have a closetful. Nothing over 2 1/5 inch heels, mostly around 2 inch heels. Flat sandals and skechers for casual. My fave shoe store is DSW in Houston.
I always wear makeup, even to the gym, although I'm careful in my application and don't look madeup except when I really want to. The reason I never leave home without it is because my husband talked me into skipping makeup one day on vacation last summer and the photos from that day came out so awful (I looked at least 20 years older) that I had to throw them all away.

I work in a kitchen several days a week, so health regulations prohibit me from having anything on my nails, and I have to keep them cut short. Not a fan of purses, as I'm rather hard on them. Shoes--I won't spend lots of money on them, but I like high heels. Jewelry--I like dangly earrings that are interesting.
I have a shoe fetish... LOVE SHOES,, I LOVE TO GO AND LOOK AT SHOES, THE SMELL OF NEW SHOES... Purses,too... I guess you could say I like the finishing touches of an outfit. I am always looking for something to make my look unique.

Really!! I feel like closed shoes always rub my foot somewhere painful, and they always feel confining. Open ones don't rub as much; and I don't usually find they have more of a break-in period than the closed ones either.
Also I like to be able to kick them off easily - almost all my street shoes are slip-ons. I won't wear laceups at all, and boots only grudgingly.
Makeup seems to have joined this thread, so I'll throw in my 2c and say I never wear it, ever. I think I wore some lip gloss at my high school prom, and then again for my college graduation photos. I missed the critical period in high school where girls learn to fool around with that stuff, and now I'm too old and crotchety to ever learn how.
