So I'm getting ready to start leaning paso doble. I've developed the habit of putting a lot of effort into searching for music to use when I perform a dance at a showcase. Won't be doing paso for a while, but I've been poking around.
And given that several other students are also starting paso, I don't want to use the same arrangement. I like my music to be different, and so far have always gotten complements on

I have absolutely loved the arrangement that's been used on DWTS (for Emmit and Lelia, anyway)...starts out with a slow and dramatic intro, and then speed up but isn't too fast to dance too and seems a very doable speed for a newbie. And I like the strong instrumentals too. I have the arrangement from Shall We Dance, but I like the DWTS one far better.

Problem is, the info on abc's web site isn't adequate to find the song. They list the version as being by artist Erich Kuzmal....who doesn't exits. An Erich Kuzmel exists, and an extensive search reveals that he does indeed have an album with Espana Cani on it...but it's not the same at all and in fact is far too fast to dance to.

If anybody knows where to get the DWTS arrangement, or has suggestions for an arrangement that's dancable. I've been poking around on itunes and have bought several that seemed to be what I wanted on the 30 second clip, but the full version either speeds up to much or has weak insturmentals or something else that makes me feel like I got ripped off. I'm a bit frustrated at this point.

Is it possible that DWTS used the Kuzmel version but slowed it down? If so, your pro can probably do the same thing on the studio's sound system.

After a long search for my Paso showcase, I settled with Espana cani Madrid Paso Ensemble, which is the slowest and powerful Espana cani I could find. For my showcase, I added the theme of Finale from Once Upon a Time in the West in the end when I moan my wife whom I had killed to save her from the enemy.

I strongly recommend the version on the Gold Star Ballroom series paso doble disc.
