Do clip ons stay on while you are dancing? I used to have double pierced ears before I let my holes in my ears close. I never ended up buying the earrings, so I just let them close. But I did wonder about clip ons. I know that some clip ons can hurt though. So, how do they feel when you dance, and do they stay on?

i have clip-ons for my dance costume. they're of the sort designed for ballroom, tho -- lightweight despite size & strong clip. they stay on for everything -- not even tango makes'em budge.
if i try to wear them for an evening out, my earlobes hurt like a muthuh when i take them off...

Are they a special brand or something?

I completely understand that part. I should just go back and have them open my holes in my ears again. That would probably be easier. It's just that earrings weren't my thing after awhile. I was big into them at first, but then I got bored lol.

i got them from a ballroom vendor who came to the studio i first took lessons at. at comps, i see tons of clip-ons like the ones i have... when you go to your first comp, allow some extra money to pick some up! they're always displayed in a rainbow of colors...

I put eyelash glue on the front and back of my earlobes before I put on my comp earrings--really helps them stay on. You can also buy tiny pads to put on the clips to lessen any pinching, but I've never needed them.
I have pierced ears, but don't think I would want to wear pierced earrings that large. Even though they are light relative to their size, I think they would still pull on the lobe.

That is good advice. But is glue hard to come off though, or do you just use water? I never would have thought of glue. Interesting!
Samina - I'll have to remember that! Although, I might not want to bring any money with me considering that I know I will just spend it all on stuff I probably don't need lol! I do have control when I go shopping though. I tend to leave my purse in my trunk if I don't need anything or something like that. It takes lots of control to do so, but it's saved me around the holidays! ;)

I use glue, too. It comes off easily even without water.

Thank you! I wasn't sure if the glue would hurt your earlobe or not. Thanks again! ;)

If the glue would hurt your earlobes, would you even THINK about using it to apply false eyelashes? (please don't answer that) :p

I've never worn fake eyelashes, so I wouldn't know. :p And hey, I'm a newbie at this stuff. I've never been into makeup or anything, not even shoes. But I'm sloooooooowly learning though! It's kind of fun, but confusing when you first start out. ;)

lol, spratt...that is not so much a matter of familiarity with ballroom as it is with logic...i.e. just in general, if eyelash glue could hurt your earlobes you sure as heck wouldn't be using it around your eyes and eyelashes...ya dig?

Oh it's alright lol! But it's hard to know about what glue does to eyelashes etc. when you have never used it. I'd rather ask now and to be safe than sorry later lol. I've always been this way though. I'd just rather ask a silly question than to do something silly in public and make a fool of myself over something that I could have prevented either with this or anything for that matter. :D
Edited to ask, what is that saying... beauty is pain lol?
