For men who dance standard, do you have any suggestions for undergarments? Are dance belts useful? Sorry if this is an awkward topic. I'm not sure how else to present it.

Underarmor shorts(similar to bike shorts without the bottom padding, and with thinner special fabric)

Wicks perspiration beautifully and keeps things quite dry.

Prevents jock itch nicely (due to chafing).

I wear one that goes down almost to my knees.

Nike also has good compression shorts. But beware that their new "Jordan" line which may be replacing the former style are not as good, because they have an inexplicable design flaw: a band of woven type material down the side that becomes quite irritating after a while.

UnderArmor is the best.

Thank you for the suggestions. So Under Armour compression shorts are the way to go? I see they have compression shorts and compression underwear available. Does it matter?

go with the compression shorts in the long style (like Madmaximus wears). I don't believe they make the underwear in long style. These allow for the pants to run smoothly without any friction. I wear them for both standard and Latin.

+1

Been using them for years.

They do make underwear in long, but I don't think it offers the same level of, um support, as the compression shorts.

boxer jock and boxer jock short, I've been using the latter for several years now every day. Works amazing well, only thing is as they age they will start to ride up a bit.

Hanes boxer briefs: the structure I need, the freedom I crave.
