So... I am really excited about this new thing called "dance" :D and my friend and I were planning on signing up for salsa lessons, but  when we went to sign up we found out we were a day late!! So, we are planning on taking them the next chance we get..

But in the meantime, I have seen a few links for shines on the internet, and was wondering if anyone had any links to sites, preferably with video clips, that I can use to learn a little? I know it's not a substitue for the real thing.. but it's the best I have!! :)

Here's a thread that might be useful:

Websites with free dance video clips (http://www.dance-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=2223)

You might also want to check out the Chicago congress during valentine's day weekend. It will give your salsa dancing a swift kick start. I would just check out maybe a couple of beginner workshops, see the dance troupes perform.

If you have the chance, check out the different styles as well ( Casino, LA style, NY style, etc ).

Just a thought

Brujo is right. At the congress, you'll be able to see a bunch of people dancing, probably teachers as well, and it will be a chance to network with salsa addicts in your area. That's a great way to find classes or an instructor.
