Hi I'm new

I was pretty excited to find this forum from a search I did about something else and I joined, but as soon as I came into the main forum and I saw the categories of the forum I was kind of dissapointed to see only a limited selection of dance...and I wondered, why would you take a whole word such as "Dance" as the name of your forum and yet have it geared only to such a small aspect of it. Don't get me wrong I love all types of dancing....just wondering is all

Hi danceslave. Welcome. What dance disciplines are you interested in? I think you'll probably find at least a few threads on lots of different disciplines in the general dance discussion forum.

And if you have questions or interesting topics, post away. Dance forums has members from virtually any dance discipline you can name -- ballet, hip hop, jazz, salsa, clogging, line dance, C&W, hustle, ... Everybody's welcome, and almost every question gets answered, one way or another.

So come on in, sit down a spell, and join in the fun. And it IS fun. :D

Why the forums are the way they are? I think that's what makes them the dance-forums and not any other. :) DF has touched on many dance styles one time or another in our general discussion forum...zouk, zydeco, contra, line, folk, square, round, belly dance, C&W, hip-hop, reggae, freestyle, clogging...

What dances are you interested in? I too love all types of dance.

Hey PG and Sagitta.. thanks for the welcome..well now it makes sense..and it's gonna take me a minute to get around the forums but honestly i like what I see so far.

ummm as far as dance goes lol I'm such an amatuer BUT... dancing is my heart and I mostly participate in Jazz, African, HipHop, Salsa, Modern BUT.. i've learned to appreciate and love ANY.. kind of dance.. what ever u bring to me I'm all for it..same as music

Wow, there is text there, and not just a strange coloured blur that's hard on the eyes ;) I think we should petition DanceMentor to remove any such fonts as choices.

CLOGGING.. i'm ashamed to say that i have to do research on that, and i'll be glad if you'd be nice enough to tell me more about it... that's really good that at fifteen you've been 'dancing' for that long..i wish i'd had the opportunity to do so..that early but dancing has always been in my heart one way or the other..so i'm good :wink:
