I posed this question on the salsaforums.com but no one knew. There's a song i just love that's not a salsa song it's more of a bachata. I asked the DJ what it was and he wrote it down as "Vivo por ella" by El Rubio Loco. But the clip for that song on their website (http://www.ballaconnoi.it/e107_plugins/zina/zina.php?p=El%20Rubio%20Loco%20-%20Libre) is more of a salsa tune and not slow at all like the one played in the club. Unless they have another version somewhere not listed that can't be it, even though their other songs have a noticeble sax playing in the background, and so does the song i heard. And I KNOW its not the Bocelli song of the same name. Anyone have any clues?? Thanks!

Welcome to DF, Cillista! (Sorry, no idea about the bachata version of that song.)

This is probably a silly idea, but is it possible that he gave you the wrong song but the right artist? Both Sarita and Dulce Amor on that website sound like bachatas.

If that's not it, then maybe do a search on other songs with the same title but a different artist?

Thanks TJ. I thought that too so i listened to all the clips on that's el rubio's site but none of them are it, they don't even have those lyrics. I've searched for any artists that have those lyrics in their song and found a couple but none of them are it, i found one quick bachata and one reggeton, and a whole lot of andrea bocelli (sp?). It just drives me nuts when I can't get a song I really like. Maybe it's a remix, except I can't find any remixes by them.

One sometimes can find, in Latin music, songs that have been written and recorded, in 2/3 different styles ( salsa, guajira, bolero for e,g, ) that is a poss.
Suggest you go to " Descarga " out of NY. Their stock is very current and expansive .
