OK, it IS the last minute, but hey, I'm a guy, the thought just came up, so what would you expect...
I'm attending a Valentines Day dance tomorrow, it's a black tie optional kind of thing, I'm a single guy and I'll be seated with a number of single and unaccompanied ladies (we take a ballroom group class together). So I'm thinking it would be a nice surprise to bring them each a little something floral, because we'll likely be surrounded by couples-with-flowers.
Is this appropriate? I'm thinking a single rose, should it be a corsage or a single long-stem?
Good idea? Too much?

It's a good idea, and I think the women will love it. I would go the corsage route, myself.
Also, buy a couple extra so that if someone unexpected shows up you can include them as well. If I were the only woman excluded I would feel really bad, regardless of how thoughtful everyone else thought you were.

Hmmm. I usually take people who don't have a car to dances.... I know I'm giving a ride to one female to a dance tonight and tomorow.....I give her rides to quite a few dancing events too...I know no one else will give her a rose/flower/corsage...But I don't want to send the wrong message so wasn't thinking of doing this. :? Food for thought.

Good idea on bringing an extra or two. I'm leaning towards the long stem, I think the corsage will get beat up; feels way too "prom" anyway.

This is classy! And have a few extras available just in case. They'll be dancing with you all night long, but with more joy then usual. :D
