View Full Version : Anyone have this Samba?
A Tisket A Tasket.
Not sure what CD its on but I would really like to get this song. I wish there was a place where you could buy single songs and not whole CDs.
A tisket a tasket, a brown and yellow basket. Its a samba remix of an old song.

yeah that one, all I have is the 32 second preview from online.
Man oh MAN DO I MISS SLAVIK AND KARINA!!!!!!! I think she needs to ditch Mario and come back to dance with Slavik.
Does anyone know where I could get it though? I've found plenty of the original version but its not exactly a samba.

Completely OT, but... I LOVE that pink dress!

Well there is no more topic really but I LOVE that whole samba and them dancing it together. All speculation, but I'd say that if they got back together and danced like that, then we would have our next world champions. What a shame that they hated eachothers guts. I remember catching a couple glimses of them practice and it was scary.

Is that a traditional/popular Brazilian dress? Gaynor Fairweather once worn a yellow one. Serena Lecca had a lime green one.

Sigh......we can only hope. But chances are slim or nothing. They would have been champions EASILY after Bryan and Carmen retired. No one, and I really mean NO ONE, can match the Slavik and Karina partnership. There are a lot of great dancers but I have not seen any couple who can create the MAGIC like these two can.
I can't say Slavik is Slavik without Karina. I think she allowed him to do many of the great things he did. I feel thats its all lost now and everytime I see Him and Elena is becoming more and more in another direction.

Someone put up the 2004 Superstars rumba by Elena & Sergey on YouTube and I just watched that again. That and Slavik & Karina's 2004 rumba (after which she keeps looking at him and he doesn't smile at her during the applause section), and Sergey & Melia's 2006 rumba are the best to me and the ones I watch again and again. Has anyone seen Charlotte Egstrand & Holger Nitsche on the 1999 dance festival video? She was absolutely alive and magnetic in a warm way. Didn't he have a career-ending back injury? --
Well it was no secret that they HATED each other and barely stayed alive durring practice, probably the reason he didn't look or smile at her the whole time, but the dancing was incredible.

I miss Karina. Why didn't Riccardo dance with Karina? Though Yulia is great too. I just want to see Karina compete or perform with someone besides the celebrities or Maks.

Slavik's dancing is becoming more and more different. I used to like his dancing because it was very calm, elegant and fluid. If you see him in recent videos like World Super Stars, his dancing's gotten a lot more wild and busy, especially in the upper body (not in a good way). I showed the videos to my coach and he made a really astute remark: "he's trying to dance like Bryan Watson, but he can't pull it off."
