Read this on the ABC boards so may not be accurate. This week's dances are:

Jennie & Derek: V. Waltz & Rumba
Helio & Julianne: Tango & Samba
Mel & Maks: ? (Mambo, Paso, Tango, or Foxtrot)
Marie & Jonathan: Quickstep & Cha Cha
Cameron & Edyta: Jive & Quickstep
Jane & Tony: Cha Cha & Quickstep

Anyone hear what Mel and Maks are dancing? This is going to be a tough/good week.

Cameron and Edyta in my opinion have the toughest dances. Good luck to them! ;)

Does anyone know what dances Mel & Maks will be dancing?

Helio's tango had some interesting choreography, but it did seem to lack a bit of smoothness.

Julianne's dress was hot! :raisebro:

Maria did well with her quickstep, but even her technique was lacking in places.

Mel's foxtrot wasn't bad, Max helps it look better.

After hearing three sets of comments, it seems Len and Bruno are watching the footwork much closer then they seem to usually do.

Seemed like Tony and Jane dropped their frame at one point which didn't look like quickstep.

And Len and Bruno were again talking tough on the technique.

What was the remark that Maks made backstage with Samantha? It must have been unexpected or inappropriate or both.

Jennie's V. Waltz effort was also a bit unsmooth in spots similar to other routine's tonight.

I'm guessing the working on two routines is taking it's toll.

And as Tom Bergeron expressed, the judges are seeming to be more specific this week.

Was it me or were Jennie and Derek off the music? Or something? Not that I'm an expert at VW, but something didn't look right.

I know little about VW, but I sure had trouble hearing a waltz rhythm in that music. I think most of the couples are dancing in spite of their music.

DancePoet

Cameron's quickstep was ok in places, but despite his energy level, his precision seems to be off.

And this time the judges seemed to take a slight turn in the direction of their old ways.

Local ABC station had the sound so out-of-sync that I swear there was a full 2 second delay between audio and video.

I thought dancing the quickstep to "I Walk the Line" (Jane's first dance) was just all wrong.

I'm wondering if anything was as bad as Julianne's latin feather dress?

Dance? Wasn't any real winner this night, not bad, but not real good.

Maybe because a bikini doesn't qualify as a costume? Seriously though, maybe they're trying to balance out the skimpiness of her costume and so she wears leg warmers on the bottom half (cause the top half is so bare!)

If I looked like that I'd wear a bikini and leg warmers on national tv too! ;)

I loved that dane too. The only problem I see with those two is that they have got to get over the Sabrina thing. No one else really even mentioned it, and if they did it was all very casual. But I'm like come on. That can get old really fast, and it can turn into being hurtful towards the other dancers if they keep it up like that. It was sort of annoying to me last night anyways. I think that they have already made their point, but they are not doing themselves any favors by keep bringing something up that cannot be changed. However, the one funny comment from Mel last night is when she said that she saw Sabrina doing it and that's why she was doing it, and Max just looked at her like she was all wrong lol. That was funny. She has her moments, and so does Max. But enough already lol.

It's at the point where I REALLY HATE to see anyone go but, since someone must go, I'll say it should be Jane. To me, she just doesn't have that "something" that the others have. Marie is just a showperson, no doubt about it. I love Helio's smile and enthusiasm. Jennie's really loosening up and now looks like she's having a great time. Mel is really a kid at heart and love her passion on the dance floor. And, Cameron has improved so much and I like his enthusiasm also.

I disagree. I think it shows that they respect each other's talents and support each other. I'd much rather see that than cut-throat nasty attitudes and win-at-any-cost antics. Sabrina should still be in the competition. Not sure what that shocker will do in terms of viewer votes from this point on.... will be interesting to see the results.

There was no bottom two this week. Even when Helio, Jennie and Jane were the last 3 up there under the spotlights, Tom said there would be no bottom two. And at the beginning of the episode it was announced that Marie and Jonathan were safe.

Question for you DFers: Who were the other 3 pros during LeAnn's second song performance? I recognized Cheryl and Anna right away but the other 3 weren't familiar to me. Thought I'd seen Elena up there but I couldn't be certain.

This week they didn't announce the bottom 2. I don't think announcing that the missing person is safe has anything to do with if they announce who is in the bottom 2. I think announcing the bottom 2 has more to do with how many dancers are left in the competition.

It's never happened before at this stage of the competition. I believe Marie WAS in the bottom two, so that's why they didn't officially have one. It would have been cruel to have Jonathan standing there under the red light by himself, and insensitive to Marie's loss. However, I'm sure they both understand that this was why the show decided to change up the end last night.

Bugs the crap out of me too. Most of the first couple seasons they did use Espana Cani for one person each season. I recall that Emitt danced to it (I loved that arrangement but I think it was special for the show cuz I haven't been able to find it). Lela had it for hers. And I think someone in the first season had it, too. (I remember wondering how they decided who got the real paso music). I really struggle watching paso, because the songs they pick usually don't cut it for me. I wonder how hard it is for the pros to dance to the bizzarre paso music. The celebs, of course, probably have no clue.

I just watched the show and the results show. I taped it since I was out of town and had no chance to watch on Monday and Tuesday night.

All celebs have improved considerably, some more than others. I agreed with the judges on Mel's paso, I really liked it. Her outfit was absolutely hot! She looked gorgeous. I also really liked Jenny's rumba and the song she danced to. And I am very relieved that Helio was safe! I am always a little worried about him, especially when Cameron is safe before him.

For me, it is time that Cameron goes home. He just annoys me and it really annoyed me this week that he gets to give his comments all the time... He gets on my nerves with his busy schedule and his ego has become to inflated. Although he has improved a lot, he is not a dancer. To me, he just looks awkward and I really did not care for his jive, between his kicks he looked awkward.

I am ok with the result this week. I really enjoyed Jane's dancing but she does not show enough spark for this level of the competition. I really liked her quickstep although I thought the song selection was awkward for a quickstep.

Tom and Samantha are always wearing earpieces, so I'm assuming the producers will just feed them lines. And Tom's so good at improvising, that he won't have any problems. But you made me wonder something, Beto: do you think the production staff sometimes deliberately feed Samantha bad info or challenging stuff to say just to hear her screw it up? Maybe they think her blunders are as funny as we do...

Andy Denhart at MSNBC (and the guy behind RealityBlurred.tv) thinks otherwise. I think he said she reads off of a teleprompter? Who knows. Samantha's verbal blunders keep the show amusing in bad-it's-so-funny kind of way.
