Hi, There's this amazing dance scene in the Reefer Madness musical movie that i can't get out of my head. The music sounds like some kind of latin ballroom dance music but being quite a noob about dance stuff, i'm unable to identify what specific kind of music this is (though i'm quite sure the suggestion _tango_ found on a youtube forum is false), so that's where I need your help:
you can see the dance scene on youtube as video id: y0j05zcDK4A , i.e.:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0j05zcDK4A
or listen to it at http://iden.tify.us/songs/321
I'd be thankful for any information about the following:
A) what type/genre of dance music is that?
b) do you know of any similar piece of music (not just same genre, but similar in groove/livelyness/brass)? if so, what title/artists?
c) do you happen to know the title of this piece of music itself? I only know it as a small part of the track Five and Dime of the Reefer Madness soundtrack, but I'd bet it wasn't composed for that musical but existed before... but under what name?
