Hi everyone,
I'm going on a business trip again, this time to Victoria, B.C., Canada. Anyone know of any good places to dancing on a week day? I'll only be there on the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 20. Seems unlikely, but it's worth a try.

You're probably out of luck (though I'm a bit out of the loop)
Check www.cafecasablanca.ca
As I recall, there are only Fri/Sat night parties.

I just realized that I don't know if you're talking about salsa or other dances. I just assumed it was salsa (is there any other dance but salsa?)
So if you're talking about salsa, there's nothing on Tuesdays. If you're talking about other dances, then I don't know.
Saludos,
Jeni

Salsa/Latin clubs would be good, Ballroom would fun, swing club or Tango bar, heck even a country dancehall. I don't care, as long as it's good dancing!

Is there anyone from Victoria BC into the dance scene on DF? I'm going to be visiting soon and wondered if there is any high-level ballroom dancing.
From what I read above, this old thread is not very encouraging ....

well, this was encouraging
So, is it practical to fly/boat to seattle regularly? I mean could one sustain a partnership?

Elise: I live close to the border but have never gone up to go dancing (ballroom). I have friends who go up for salsa, swing, blues, tango, but not ballroom.
I can't vouch for these, just came across googling:

hi DIL
So I take it you are on the US side? I've looked into the vancouver options and there are some but was wondering about the Seattle ones. I heard that is a speedboat connection in addition to the flying one (though it all sounds awfully expensive :()
