I recently watched a comp video, produced in Russia, of an IDSF event in 2007. The cool thing about it is that, besides the very clear photography and very few wasted shots (and no commentary, thankfully), each heat was played twice, from different cameras, so you really get to see the dancers. It bugs me so much that Blackpool, for instance, which charges an arm and a leg for the Quasar tapes, shows the finals only once. You're lucky if you get to see ten seconds of any one given couple.
This comp video had quarter finals and up, so you really got to see the dancing.
I don't know if there are any other videos out there that do that (with the exception of the Japan tapes that show each couple separately in each heat, which REALLY is the way to tape a comp).

I thought I'd mention this, though it barely deserves its own thread (didn't know what else to do).

This sounds really cool! And the way you describe Japanese tapes to be sounds even better. Wow, what a concept! :)

you know where to get these russian videos?

I have some old japan open tapes but they are VCD and terrible quality, it is fun to see the top couples filmed individually tho.
