Hey guys I have a question you all can answer me :D
I searched on the internet but didnt find a good site which shows some dance steps for partys.
I think you all had the problem : There is a birthday party and instead to dance everyone is sitting. Can you guys help me to learn some basic steps, because I cant dance^^ If I try it looks like crap xD

need help ^^ ( sorry if I post this topic in the wrong forum and sorry for my english^^ )

welcome to DF, siyar. The best way to learn to dance is from someone else - they are rather hard to pick up from a written description though a video might help a bit. Thus, your best bet is to find a dance studio that does group lessons for beginners. However, browse around on DF and you will find a ton of information on starting out and the different dance styles.

I hope youstick around and follow some of the threads, ideas and people here!

Siyar, this would be the best forum for this general question. Elisedance's advice would be your best approach.

As for Internet videos; Is this for social, or partner, dancing? If so, maybe you can find this site of help: http://www.learntodance.com/online-dance-lessons.htm - look for the link to Basic Element video clip for a starting place.

As a beginner myself, I find that lessons from a live dance instructor to be the best thing I can do so that I don't "look like crap" on the dance floor. Give it a try.
