Make faces & play with my hair in front of the mirror (think SuperModel)!
Sing & dance a la Tom Cruise in 'Risky Business' 8) .
Talk to myself/my dog coz it's quiet.
I think that's all......

Hmm, you know DM I think the reason I'm part loco is that I live by myself and have so for the past 4+ years. But I can think of some things I do when no one is around that I wouldn't do in front of people:
Punching magazines I don't like across the room
Punching and kicking cardboard boxes
Punching my pilates ball off a bedroom wall so it bounces back and I can hit again - *warning this can cause damage to self and surroundings!
(hmm, I seem to have a habit of hitting things...)
Experimenting with different facial hair designs if I haven't shaved for a while. Sometimes I keep really long sideburns and laugh at myself for a few minutes...fortunately no one ever sees them!

Well I've been hitting the gym a lot lately, and it's really starting to show. I'm in the best shape ever right now...sooooooooooo...I've been doing a lot of flexing in the bathroom mirror. :D

After the kids have gone home I like to put in a CD, turn the music up, and dance around the classroom (hoping none of the janitors walk in and see me...)
At home, I like to turn on Irish music full blast while I dance around with my dog in my arms (she seems to like both the music and the dancing, but I could be wrong...) :?
(Well, I really don't know how to do Irish dancing, but I sure love the music anyhow!)

Ok, I'll omit the naughty bits....
When noone is around I:
Play with my scorpion
Dance around my room (small though it is)
Train my cat
Play with my cat
Go on DF
Listen to music

Oh, one more. Sometimes I pull out my old keyboard and play some sad tunes, specifically in E minor with a Klezmer scale...gives the music a mysterious sound and it reminds me of a girl I knew once...
I've also been known to pull out one of my saxes and play a few blues ditties...especially since I'm so out of practice I sound horrible!

    You guys are funny!
On the very RARE occasion I get the house to myself,
I turn the music up loud enough to annoy the neighbors and DANCE DANCE DANCE! I make up my own moves....mix dances, a little cha and hip-hop go very well together (im my mind anyway  )
I have a bath......door open and music still blaring.
I sing    I am very bad and wouldnt even do it in front of a dog
I change into m pyjamas....even mid afternoon. You should try it! Very relaxing.
I research dance related things on the net

Myself...
I do...
...double pirouettes in my kitchen.
...handstands against my living room wall.
...Charleston while waiting in line for my coffee (using very small inconspicuous kicks).
...spins in the dressing room at the mall trying on dresses (from a need to test their 'dance-worthiness').

Me thinks you speak the truth. ;) I've actually not purchased perfectly good dresses because they did not "flair" enough for my tastes. :)

Vince, you naughty man you! It was nothing of that sort (and even if it was, I wouldn't tell!) :P
I mentioned it was a Klezmer scale...and as she was Jewish playing that scale was an homage to her. I got very good with it until one day in my Jazz Improv class (during Passover as I recall) when I took my solo I busted out with the Klezmer scale at full volume. Everyone gave me this odd look...the teacher stoppped the music and several people said "I keep seeing Pyramids!"
Of course, they then asked me how to play the scale. Its hauntingly beautiful.

Hmm... If I were a girl, I´m not sure I´d want to dance with you...
Well, it was very hard for me when I first learned to dance, as a decade of studying many martial arts systems left me moving like I was in warrior mode instead of dancing!
I still hold back doing some fancier moves since I don't want to hurt anyone. No worries, I am very gentle when I lead...a true warrior is also a healer, so I always remember that when I dance, the chi can be used to hurt or heal...and I prefer the latter.

Oh Good!! Its not just me and my sister then!
I often wonder what the sales people think when we walk out of the change rooms and start spinning in front of each other to test the "swishiness" of the dress or skirt!
If it doesnt swish just right it means I cant wear it dancing, therefore I cant buy it...vicious cycle it is :D :D :D :D

And on a related note; a little while ago I was browsing for shoes and the sales girl was looking very funny at me whilst I was spinning in the middle of the shop :)

And I always test shoes for their dance worthiness!! Depending on the sole quite a few non-dance shoes can be used for dancing. Useful to know what one can do with them in advance. :)

As to my dressing room spinning...they are probably wondering what is going on in there...watching my ankles rotate around under the door.
As for shoes...I shoe sales lady once found me standing on top of a changing chair (hard plastic top) scuffing my feet around to test for the proper amount of slide. I had to of course inform her why I was standing on a chair in the middle of the store...the carpet just doesn't work when testing shoes. :) BTW, I found several pairs of heels at Payless that have a hard heel and the rest of the bottom is made out of this rubbery substance that feels and acts like felt (not quite as slippery, but almost). They are perfect for swing dancing and spins.

Me thinks you speak the truth. ;) I've actually not purchased perfectly good dresses because they did not "flair" enough for my tastes. :)
... And I've not purchased really cute short skirts because they flared too much and went up a bit too high... Not that I can spin well enough for that to become a problem, but you never know how quickly you may improve (thinking positive here :) ).
When nobody's around, I
- practise spins in ladies at work (haven't been caught yet)
- styling experiments in front of a mirror
- teach my cat how to waltz -- even though I don't know how either
- sing

  I just got an imaginary visual of the cat waltzing thing. Hilarious.
And about the singing: The other day, I was at the drive-through window of a fast food restaurant, when a woman drove past me, with her car windows open, singing at the top of her (mediocre at best) voice. Truth be told, I envied her the freedom to let loose and enjoy herself regardless of what other people thought. That girl was having fun.
btw, do you have drive-through windows at restaurants in Scotland, or is that just an American thing? Hmm.

Oh yes, we do. My town boasts a drive-through McDonald's, Burger King and KFC. Very much regarded as an American import though -- never seen a drive-through fish & chip shop. Now, that may not be such a bad idea...
