" A lot of people have heard before Closed British Championship that Paul Killick has decided to come back to competiting. All spectators were waiting for Professional Latin (http://dancesportinfo.net/Competition/The_British_Closed_2007_4464/Professional_Latin_30685/Results.aspx) to see if it is true. Indeed Paul Killick dancing with Ekaterina Lapaeva (http://dancesportinfo.net/Couple/Paul_Killick_and_Ekaterina_Lapaeva_80904/Details.aspx) were on the floor. However they were not at their top and another British couple Paul Richardson and Olga Rodionova (http://dancesportinfo.net/Couple/Paul_Richardson_and_Olga_Rodionova_13028/Details.aspx) dancing exceptionally well won this competition while Paul Killick and Ekaterina were second. Out of five dances Paul and Olga were first in four, while Paul and Ekaterina in two. This is not a mistake - in Cha Cha there was a draw!
This spectacular success for Paul and Olga was even more important to them as at the end of this competition they have announced their retirement from competitive dancing. What an exceptional last competition for them! " (Dancesportinfo)

Happy for Paul and Olga's winning the Championship. Paul was supposed to give me Paso lesson but he just disappeared. What was the one that Killick scored the first place? Paso?

I'm not sure how I feel about this. Coming to the floor after Bryan Watson has retired? Hmmm.....I don't think it's a coincidence. Then again, if it's Paul and Hanna, I'd be up on my feet applauding. Blackpool 2008 will be most interesting....Riccardo/Yulia, Eugene/Maria, Maurizio/Melinda, and now Paul Killick!!

Who knows Bryan Watson may come back, too, with a different partner. This field is unpredictable.

It personally made my week to see him competing again, and it was the biggest surprise.

Hanna told me that Paul and Ekaterina have been dancing together for just THREE WEEKS, so to take first place in Paso and to tie in Cha Cha is an incredible achievement.

I don't know what Paul's plans for the future are, but I wish him all the very best in whatever he chooses to do. He is the sweetest, loveliest man and such an amazingly talented dancer, he deserves every success.

Don't forget Michael Wentink and his new partner.

Anyone know if Amy Bennett is related to Dale and Darren? That would be quite a dancing family.

I don't think so. I'll try to remember to ask the next time I see/talk to him.

Another good example!! In my opinion, these great dancers - Max, Steve & Yulia, Dovolani & Elena, etc - retire too soon and too young.

Well, when you speak to him, tell him I said "hi". Is he coming back here any time soon?

Heard rumour that he might be around Thanksgiving time, but I haven't heard anything from him. I've also heard that he'll be at Vegas, but again, nothing from him. In addition, I invited him back for BU's comp in February. I did hear from him, but nothing concrete. Our best bet may be to trot over to England and track him down ourselves.
